On Sunday I rode my new KLX450R for an hour or so, followed by a fang on the ZX12R. I then sat in my leather lazyboy and watched women's beach volleyball while listening to the sound of a Spitfire doing aerobatics out the back paddock. What a bloody good day that was.

...while skypeing my son in the UK on Saturday morning we talked of my Velo head repairs and he fiddled with his phone for a minute and found another complete head on the Brit ebay site...a few minutes later a bloke who does some really top restos on Jappy classics turned up wanting a new project, and it just happened to be a '65 S32-2 that I had decided some while ago that I would not be doing myself, ever...he got it for a song and then returned the next day and bought two boxes of AC50 bits...the S32-2 is going to be finished before the next Jappy Classic show down here, he vows, and all this makes me very cheerful...talking to my son for an hour was equal to all of this, on the cheerfulness graph...

I may not be as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was.

    Seats? Didn't notice.

    I think it's the 2-seater. He's a regular on sunny days in the 2471.

More reasons to be cheerful today including a 16.67% payrise. Booya!

Get real - I work to less than a thou tolerances on other peoples expensive motors. Such work as i do still want would disappear instantly.

And BTW the registrar I saw was a very well spoken gent - black as the ace of spades.
