Much like the rather quaint mission statement of the BBC...
"To enrich people's lives with programmes and services that inform, educate and entertain."
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

There are four candidates running nationally. There is Gary Johnson, a Libertarian, who has long been polling somewhere around 10% and Jill Stein, a Green, polling about 5%. Their combined 15% could make a difference if the result is close.
Other people may be standing in various states but Johnson and Stein are running nationally. I've seen very little in the media on Johnson, a former Governor(?), but Stein visited Russia at some point so Fox News like to talk about her being a Putin stooge. Though the nearest thing to an actual Putin stooge in the election is Trump.
There are now serious questions being asked as to whether Trump is actually running for election. Nothing much that he is doing makes much sense as an election campaign, it looks more and more like a publicity campaign.
He apparently spends twice as much on merchandise as he does on staff. He has very few or no staff in important areas. When he received some election funds he put the rent up on the offices his campaign uses by about 500%. A significant portion of his campaign finance goes to businesses owned by himself. He has reportedly spent about 4 million on TV ads compared to Clinton's 68 million.
The pundits think he is visiting the wrong states, he should be visiting what we would call marginal states, what they call battleground states, the ones that could go either way. Instead he is visiting states that he is likely to win. Candidates apparently don't go to safe states to get votes, they go there to get money.
The good news is there's only 80 odd days to go...
There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop
Strangely I have had a premonition that this election is going to end in sensation - have no basis for it simply a feeling that Obama might surface again somehow!
Disregarded it because there has already been such a bloody circus thus far - still got the feeling but nothing substantive to quantify anything - watch this space!
As pritch said - only 80 days to go!![]()
Apart from the rugby it's the best thing on TV.
