Except that some may feel voting in such an election is just not worth the trouble. Low voter numbers tend to favour the right, so it may be that the Democrats stay home and Trump is elected President by default.

The low turnout will be exacerbated by the "voter ID" requirements intended to disqualify black people, welfare recipients, and students, from voting in Republican controlled states.

There are some remarkably silly stories doing the rounds. Some are started by satire sites but are picked up by activists and repeated as fact. One that repeats almost every election states that Obama will not leave office at the end of his term. That's not possible for a number of reasons. Come what may his term ends 20/1/17 (or whatever the actual date is). The Vice President is sworn in first so that if anything happens to the Presidential nominee in the next few minutes the VP takes over immediately.

The Republicans like to make much of the FBI prosecuting a case against Hillary arising from her use of a private email server which may disqualify her from office. The only crimes which may disqualify a President from holding office are those committed while actually in office. Crimes committed prior are irrelevant. At least one person has stood for President from prison.

Have just come back from a holiday there, and after talking to a few locals the same theme emerges....

Republicans will vote republican
Democrats will vote democrat

Both sides pretty much equally hate Hillary and Trump, but will vote by colour as they feel obliged to do so.
