Doesn't mean he can't decide to retire. But who knows, after the way this season has gone he could win the last 2 races.

I think you're right. I'll add him to the list. Right now I can't find confirmation, but it was a very short list and I think we have it now.

There was an interview with Read, complete with fag hanging out of his face, in BIKE only a few years ago. Apparently he was still doing local races.

He was never that popular though.
Hailwood psychologically destroyed him by passing him on the first lap (Read had a 50 second lead in starting position)
Beat him at his own game, considering he was rather prone to the mind games.
If you think really about it, if you factor in Grahams ,Duke, Surtess and Ago and Hailwords dominence in the 50-60-70s it would be bloody hard for someone out of that group to win a 500GP at all.

The commonwealth riders were very strong in most classes in the sixties. Gary Hocking won a 500cc world title before his early retirement. Hailwood and then Agostini had the only factory bikes in the class and dominated completely for some years.

So, Sepang next,I would expect a more normal result ?
Certainly has been a funny old year,with Tyres,Temps and Weather,affecting the results.

You would? The MotoGP race is cunningly timed so as to coincide with the afternoon monsoon rains. It doesn't always happen, but it does happen.

Mike Jones didn't do himself any harm. He qualified faster than Aoyama in Japan, never having set eyes on the track, or even getting a chance to walk around it. Then he picked up a championship point at Phillip Island. He shouldn't have found that at all boring. It's always possible that his efforts were noticed.

You'd think that an easy fix ? (I had fogotten that happens at Sepang).
Advance it an hour or so.

I noticed as I watched the last race, that the slower guys don't ride the full 'get off the bike' style like Marquez. Miller looks like Andrew Stroud on the bike.

Vinales needs to catch a fucken taxi back to the seat as he stands the bike up.

I see the Michelins seemed quite good. At a track where Bridgestone have struggled to get a tire to do more than 10 laps at a time...
