What's going on on that bike - it appears to have a left handlebar clutch but a manual gear shifter - hows that work as you'd use your left hand for both actions ...

It's got a little doodad on the clutch for locking it in. Hook first, and then go back to the bar. No clutch use on down shifts will suck a bit.

that's cause there is no such think as a 'suicide shift', the suicide clutch is referring to the foot clutch's, nothing at all to do with the gear changing mech.
