I suppose if you liked instant coffee and the only take aways being Fish and Chips.
Other than the traffic I prefer Auckland now.
Its good all the bigots live in the Provinces.

The traffic is the main thing that I was referring to!

Sir Dove-Myer Robinson wanted to start fixing it way back and all there really (apart from the growth) has been is talk!

Bigot crack I thought was beneath you - but oh well

Once upon a time it was said that if it hadn't been reported in the New York Times it hadn't happened. During the recent US election though they seemed to have lost the plot completely and there is no sign as yet that they have found it. Fuckem! I'll read the Washington post.

Towns a buzzing - no complaints it's great!

I do a bit of work in the marine industry and the Asians* are indeed taking over the workforce. The biggest problem with them is if they don't get enough overtime they start looking for jobs elsewhere. That's why it always makes me laugh when you hear "proper kiwis" moaning about immigrants taking all their jobs. Man up guys they haven't taken your jobs, you gave them away.

Freezing works down the road has now got accommodation for Chinese managers to come and get accustomed to their works.

They are expanding accommodation to house Chinese workers next.

All of the buses at the pub down the road have complete Chinese crew and The tours are completely Chinese run.

Soon they will buy the pub and stock it with Chinese workers too! - Maybe our grand-kids are going to be in deep Chinese doo doo!

Not panicking or being sensationalist but are we looking after our kids future here or have we tossed the babies out with the bathwater?

Reminds me of a thingo I saw the other day, to paraphrase it "Yes Gary, with your highschool diploma; Muhammad the neuroscientist is stealing your job"

Look, I can understand people taking issue with exporting our production to China, as relative wage laws favor them over local production; but it's fucking pathetic hearing bigots complain about New Zealanders of foreign descent taking jobs locally when the playing field is completely even.
