The settlements they have been building for years are not within the recognised borders and have been rightly declared illegal by the UN.

Trump's Middle East Envoy, his Jewish son in law Kirshner, is from a family that have been investing in new settlements for years so there wouldn't seem to be a lot of hope for peace there. More like a recruiting tool for Daesh or whoever.

I think we can all (or at least mostly) agree with those declarations. But even if the settlements were removed or replaced, Palestine is still a distant second for 'usefulness' to america. The borders make a war of conquest untenable, while a war could be fought to remove the settlements, backlash for the likely civilian casualties would be huge, and the practical achievements minimal.

Judging by his rantings at the press conference today, it can't be too long before he goes off the rails. Why would I care who designed it? It's clearly a pretty good flag design so full credit to the 5 year olds if they came up with that.
