Overnight our time there was a disturbing thread on the ability of the current Whitehouse to deal with a disaster. Disasters or pandemics occur during most presidencies: AIDS, bird flu, Katrina, Ebola, whatever. Such a threat requires the coordination of a considerable number of government departments and depends on timely and accurate decisions and reliable announcements from the Whitehouse.

One of the guys who headed the ebola response under Obama outlined what is required but is concerned that the current chaotic bullshit artists (my words not his) could not handle such an emergency. And I don't think he even referenced the fact that so many important government positions remain unfilled.

You have to laugh at Trump otherwise the stress levels would be through the roof.
