True! - but an enquiring mind would know that America and it's "manipulators" engineered that situation (war) as well! (and are still doing it today FFS!)

How do you know that the lifestyle we enjoy isn't in some part a result of said manipulations?
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

It is! - just as is the lifestyle we enjoy is part of the contributions of different NZ governments over the years - it doesn't mean that it couldn't have been different!

Doesn't mean that we have to agree with the way things are or were done either!

Age old question as always - who benefits most?

Don't get me wrong, I think Donald Trump is a fucking moron, but do you actually think Hillary Clinton has any higher ethics?

Yes. Although it's only possible to say that in comparison to Trump who has none at all.

    Well I think you're wrong.

Trump's just more open about his lack of morals.

Possibly not - neither of us know enough FACTS to accurately judge. But something I said on here a longish time back was that with her you were going to get the straight Democratic policies. That may or may not have been a good thing - but at least the continuity of stable, predictable government would have been nice....And retaining already well established relationshiips with allied countries was one of her aims.
I doubt even Trumps insiders can predict what he's going to do next...

I wouldn't trust Clinton as ar as I could kick her, I do believe for example she was running a "pay for play" deal when she was Secretary of State. She could be regarded as more or less sane though.

You can't say that about Trump. He seems to have an emotional age of about three. A word I see used a lot to describe all of the members of his family is "grifters".
Apparently that describes small time conmen. That's certainly how the whole family behave. They may not appear "small time" but we won't find out unless he sells up and repays the billions that he owes.

Saw an interesting insight on another forum today. A member there is currently in Washington putting some business before both Senate and House committees. The permanent staff and most of those he's dealing with refer to Trump as "the man-child in the White House".

The President is the Commander in Chief of the military although the actual significance of this seems to have escaped Trump. He has caused upset by apparently using the word "they" when referring to the military regarding the loss of Ryan the Navy SEAL recently KIA. If you are the Commander in Chief and you approved the raid it's "we" or even "I".

Somebody should dig out that old sign Truman had on his desk when he was President, "The buck stops here".

There has been a change at the top but no change yet on the ground - it's business as usual out there destabilising the the Middle East apparently.

At least Trump is right about the double dealing lying Western media - this reporter has been battling to get the truth out for a while now!

Spose she will probably get bumped off for her effort!
