Hang on there, just a sec, BB.

We Danes take our rabbit jumping very seriously. We are not past Champions for nothing !

Admittedly, it was probably more to prove a point and kick some Swedish ar$%, but we're
    still damned good at it.

You may well laugh, but what is one to do when there's 4 feet of snow outside during parts
of Winter. You can only do just so much skiing.

It's hard enough to train the dog to jump obstacles. Just you try getting a rabbit to do it.

    Cheers,
    Viking

P.S. There are video clips from the 2014 and 2015 Danish Rabbit Jumping Championships online
as well, if your first taste was not enough. They're very addictive !

Actually, I should really have said "some" Danes take their rabbit jumping very seriously.
I too think that it looks quite humorous. But, you know, credit where credit is due.

But here in NZ, we have our own version: Sheep mustering trials.

I fully recognise the real-life application in a rural country with a large sheep population,
but was equally amused when Canadian friends were visiting us and the TV just happened
to start showing sheep mustering trials on "Country Calendar".

Well, they were absolutely fascinated by it, and the conversation ceased completely for a
half hour while they watched it.

Eyes glued to the screen. Unconsciously gesticulating slightly with their arms, while quietly
muttering to themselves ("Go, go, get round behind"; "Further to the left"; "No, don't let
    that one escape" ).

Even our dog loves watching the sheep mustering.

Actually , I did when I was younger.. and I would love to take it up as a hobby ( huntaway) if I ever , live in NZ retire etc
    But
Talking to ( some) farmers is like pushing sh1t up the same hill as the sheep are heading ...this does and would put me off
( Actually , a lot of sport , people can take it too seriously...for me)

Thinks - doesn't anybody notice the disparity of all this?

Nazi / Jewish Holocaust - 1933 - 1945 (Wikipedia) This was bad and still gets endless exposure and condemnation, which is fair enough but hello!

Israeli / Palestine oppression? (Holocaust?) - officially 1948 and still going? and virtual world silence and acceptance that Israel is the victim? - Has the whole world simply become "conditioned"?

Sure - Conspiracy theorists abound - why?

Because there is so much material evidence to theorise upon - simple really! - "WHY" the most underutilised/ under appreciated word in any language? - Why?

    Every which way you turn.

Thankfully we are still free to choose what we look at - or are we?

My Huntaway was fucking useless with sheep - chooks, yes!
We have a ram that used to sneak up on the dog in the paddock and then butt him up the arse before he realised he was there. Got so he wouldn't go in the same paddock, the woos!
