Actually I don't think I've ever ridden a 22. My 500 is largely 22 parts. I've ridden 21 and a mates 23. The 23 was cool. Derestricted dynod 60hp with chambers fat curve. Still felt like a 250 .

McQueen did most of the ride scenes but the jump itself (by common belief & understanding) was done by his race coach/mentor & mate Bud Ekins. McQueen wasn't allowed due to the insurers for the film not wanting any problems etc if the scene went belly-up. The TR6 was used because it was a shitload lighter than using an authentic Kraut bike.
