Dovi has had a rough few years. Beaten up by all and sundry, including his ex team mate which must have been, er, de-motivating.
So self belief and a great understanding of his opponents abilities. I'm reasonably sure he reeled MM in on Sunday.
Seems like their are a lot of riders capable of getting on the podium this season. And a lot of riders with a point to prove.
I'm still getting my head around Zarco holding the lead on the brakes for so long. That tire must have been mush.

Very good point, well made!
And the bike is different, too! It's a bit like people hanging shit on Rossi for not having a good time on the Ducati when it was a proven championship winner.. In 2007... 4 years later the bike was very different. And now, 7 years later again, it's another significantly different machine. The same goes for the other manufacturers! I think some people get caught up with "it's the same colour, it's the same bike" not realising that the tech and specs are pretty bloody different!
Personally, I'd rather all the front runners switch to KTM and Aprilia, and the middleish riders jump on Suzuki's, and the regular "back markers" should jump on all the big budget, "winning" factory bikes like the Duc', Yammie, and Honda... Mix it-the fuck-up haha!!

...I met Giacomo Agostini at a country fuel stop outside of Chch some years back...he was on what was then the newly recalled to the ranks, MV Agusta...it wasn't 'til down the road a bit in my truck that I thought, I kinda know that face I was talking bike pleasantries to, but that was that...I went to the little country bar/cafe that was on my agenda, fixing a plumbing/tap problem...Collin who owned the bar came in and kicked me while I was under the sink on my back and handed me a credit card and said, 'read who owns this'...it was Ago's card ...he had stopped in for a BLT and coffee on his way back from Akaroa...I had a coffee break and talked to him for a bit...we talked of the Puke Classic, meeting he was down here to do, me racing a T20 Suzuki, the road he had just ridden, the MV and our little town ...that was pretty much him on his bike and me back to work...
Y'all will have heard of the Sun newspaper in Britain.
They printed a quote from Cal Crutchlow. They then pointed out that Crutchlow is married with a little daughter and used this photo of Crutchlow and his wife to illustrate their article .
Now we all know that isn't Crutchlow. That's actually "UK Jake" but it took me a year or two to discover what Jake does. Jake is definitely in with the in crowd. Wherever the GP is, he seems to be there talking and joking with the riders, but I had no idea what his job was. It turns out Jake is the man from Monster drinks, his job is to look after the riders sposored by Monster.
But Cal Crutchlow he ain't. Nice looking friend he's got there though.

Yeah I saw that pic in the article, was like "thats not Cal!" But they were focusing on the wives of the racers

I don't read The Sun, if I see mention of the paper it's always negative. Must be a Murdoch rag? Anyhoo, I went to check the original article and suspect they might have modified it but I thought some of you might still be young enough to appreciate this?

If Sam Fox isn't on it I'm not interested.
