Germany chose to build a war economy and invaded other countries because they were going broke because of the cost of their military spending.
No one invaded Germany. Hitler was a megalomaniac who spured on by his early success, stupidly invaded countries with peace treaties with other powers.
Churchill wasn't even the British PM when war broke out. He wasn't the British PM until mid 1940.
Chamberlain =who had signed a peace treaty with Hitler prior to the war, resigned the same day as Germany invaded Belgium and Holland.
Hitler was even stupid enough to start a war on two fronts by invaded one of his allies.
Hitler then stupidly thought that England would forget Germany had bombed and attacked their cities and sue him for peace.
