Unless you are whipping him up a pair of slacks on your Bernina, its reap what you sow.

So if the Media decides we bring him back..

Would Commerical air lines say no?

Then do us tax payers fun a RNZAF flight there and back, fund his legal defence and potential jail term at 100+K a year?

From memory there are quite a few Kiwi's in overseas jails who would like to come back here too.

I find it hard to believe he was " only a guard"....echoes of German stories there.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Were these people not taught about consequences for behaviour at a very young age?

Saw a comment by a journo who had been talking to DAESH prisoners all of whom said they had held menial jobs such as cooks & cleaners etc. He commented that with so many cooks the food must have been brilliant. Nobody laughed.

In the real world of course these were the hard liners, the very last to surrender. Fuckem!

Related. Since the KB massif don't have much sympathy for our Mr Taylor, how about this hard working kiwi who needs to go back to India to be purified because he ate beef mistakenly labelled as lamb*

*bet he was thinking "Fuck this is the tastiest lamb I've ever eaten!" nom nom nom!

Its no more or less stupid than the biblical prescription against shellfish (8 times). Or homosexuality (2 times).

We almost need to re-lable this thread "Religion is fucking stupid". My personal view is that anyone who professes a religious view is suffering from a mental illness, and is thus disqualified from holding public office, dealing with children, or serving in the armed forces.

Not relevant to the thread but suitably unhinged. A gift for our resident legal beagle.

Not disputing simply raising the point.

Isn't that what the (democratic?) ballot box is supposed to control/provide? - majority decision?
