Trump critised Obama when he was president for playing too much golf


Trump went after Obama's golf habits repeatedly on Twitter and on the campaign trail.
"I mean he's played more golf than most people on the PGA Tour, this guy," Trump said during a 2016 campaign stop in New Hampshire.
Just a day later, he wrote: "We pay for Obama's travel so he can fundraise millions so Democrats can run on lies. Then we pay for his golf."
Oddly now, Trump still plays for golf than the retired Obama does.

But since taking office, Trump has been a regular visitor at his own golf clubs in Florida and Virginia. In his first year as president, Trump outpaced Obama in the amount of time he spent on the green, our Trump Golf Tracker shows.
We decided to track Trump’s golf course visits because he so routinely criticized his predecessor for the practice.
The numbers suggest something of a flip-flop for Trump: As of May 18, 2018, the score of confirmed golf outings is Trump 56, Obama 37.

Since taking office on Jan. 20, 2017, Mr. Trump has been on the grounds of his golf courses or played golf elsewhere 261 times since becoming President, and that's as of Feb. 2, 2020.
He previously was on pace to visit his golf clubs more than 650 times in an eight-year presidency. However, his pace as of Aug. 6, 2018 now indicates Trump would spend as much as 745 days of his presidency at a golf course if he wins a second term and serves both terms to completion.Trump has spent nearly 22 percent of his days in office at one of his golf properties for some portion of the day. There have been days where Trump has visited one of his golf clubs and not played golf.
