Git it in one - Kawhia. Although my main target road was one that runs off the road to Kawhia, where the other photo was taken
Yep, bike runs great, but is a cosmetic mess. Only paid $750 for it - $1 for each cc.
I did do it up, but made mistake of using spay paint cans. I have a compressor and spray guns now, so will put it back to standard green, pearl white and blue colors next time. I have a race one too, in bits, just needs to be put together. Motor has brand new official Kawasaki superbike race kit parts in it, including the uber rare close ration transmission. Thinking I will never race it though, so may just sell that lot off lol.
I've got a hankering for a mid 2000's liter bike, have done for a while now.
There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop
Yes have done that one, not sealed at all, great road though.
The one that peels to the left about 15 km's out of Kawhia will take you (with correct turn offs) all the way to State highway 3 not far out Awakino/New Plymouth - about 10 km's of very good dirt road in there. Overall an incredible road, one of the best, had no idea there was that much native forest left in the north island. AND NO TRAFFIC![]()
