Well reasons listed below Andrew.

1. Bloody good deal for new ones at the moment.
2. I am quiet attracted to the old technology no Fuel Injection or ECU,s to give issues.
3. My son can ride it on his restricted . I hoping he is going to do TT2000 with me in 2021.
4. My little XT250 is just too small for me.
5. I expect to do a bit of gravel stuff but my skill/experience is very limited so slow and steady is fine dont need a KTM.

2. I like fuel injection - all of my bikes are injected. Never had a problem.

Just take your time in the gravel. There really isn't any need to hurry at all. The reason I got the XF650 was for that sort of stuff and I must say it is marvelous to ride. I'm 6" and it is a perfect fit. I,m working on a range extention kit for the ol CB550, which is on points and carbed starts first time every time.. Kickstart is a plus as well

Just getting out there and having a bit of fun no matter what you ride or how fast you go is what really maters.
