There's two ways to answer this:

1: He was effectively part of a militia raised by the business owner and his subsequent excellent situational awareness and trigger discipline confirms that he was well-regulated.

2: it doesn't matter because the Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the interpretation of the 2A (in reference to the Federalist papers, English Common Law etc) is for the individual right, not a group right.

In which case, the original intent of the 2A for individuals to assist in keeping the Kings Peace and the suppression of lawlessness is precisely what happened in Kenosha.

That it could be passed through the air, and that it was likely five times more deadly than the flu. Yet while nearly 200,000 died (and counting) he kept calling it a hoax. Indeed... He has been charged by a Politically motivated Prosecutor. And as stated - if they proceed with this, I predict a precedent setting bit of case-law and the Lefty Gun-Grabbers won't like it.

However, the Kenosha/Wisconsin issue has been addressed - since it is a 15 minute drive from where Kyle lives to Kenosha, he works in Kenosha as a Life Guard. It's the equivalent of someone living on the North Shore of Auckland and working in the CBD.
