The States are part of the United States, therefore they have an interest in the outcome of the election. If one state is breaking it's own rules when it comes to Voting, then it disenfranchises all the other states.

Well, snopes couldn't prove or disprove it. The CNN tapes that are being released would certainly give credibility to the levels of hatred that would drive some to, say, rig an election if it was withing their capability to do so... but as you say, we'll see.

You actually have to prove something logically within reasonable doubt happened, rather than it was impossible to 100% disprove that it didn't.

1: It's not a Gish Gallop
2: The allegation being made by the Texas attorney General is that the validation rules as defined by each implicated state's constitutions were abrogated by the Governor, without following the correct legal process.

It's not about the machines.

Texas makes the claim that if other states are allowed to not conform to their own rules as to how they handle their elections, then that unfairly impacts Texas at the Federal level.

The US Constitution gives each state sole power over their own elections. There is normally no role for the federal government at all. Similarly, the courts are normally reluctant to intervene. F'rinstance the 9-0, one sentence fuck off, the last approach to SCOTUS got, a day or so ago.
