When Trump saw this ad he was reported to be angry - at Pence. (Don't expect any of this to make sense.)

Pence is to confirm the Electoral College result at a joint meeting of both houses of Congress on the 6th January. Trump reportedly wants Pence to declare him as having won the election at that meeting. Pence has tried to explain that the meeting on the 6th is a formality only, Pence basically just reads out the result. There is no provision for challenging results, or any of the other insanity Trump loyalists are dreaming up.

Pence finds himself in a bind. Nothing is ever Trump's fault, there is always somebody else to blame, and the culprit of the moment is Pence. Trump's knowledge of how the government works is still not much above zero, if it was he might be worried. Apparently Trump can't fire Pence even if he wants to, although there was a rumour that he wanted to fire Pence and appoint Ivanka Vice President. Pence, on the other hand can invoke the 25th Amendment, and remove Trump. Although Pence has never looked as if he was going to do anyting much at all.

True. While out for dinner last night the topic cropped up and it was suggested because of the explosion occurring outside the AT&T building that it was an anti-5G nutter.
