Was very amused by the outraged reporting today that they'd build toilets, and were probably discharging straight into stormwater drains to the harbour.

Approximately 5 minutes of looking at google maps and welly council maps determined they're plugged into a sewer main manhole, so while maybe a bit wiffy with an open sewer vent right there, no threat to the environment.

Makes you wonder why those reporting couldn't do the same before they burst into print.

For a group that's full of shit ... at least they're dealing with it ..

Well, when I'm eventually elected grand Dictator of NZ, one of my first policies will be building a wall across the Tasman sea to keep Australians out.

It's either that we annex the Gold Coast.

Still working on the minutae of that Policy.

I remember when it was one way traffic to Aus. Full planes going over ... empty coming home.


Until many started needing Hospital care ... that was free to Aussie citizens. Not to residents.

Or got homesick ....


A simple one way bridge would be better. Free to leave ... only.

Interesting, now seems to have been amended to 'Wellington City Council has now confirmed are flushing into the city’s wastewater sewer network', almost as if someone has pointed out how easy it was to figure out. And the entire paragraph about how appalled everyone is about how the harbour is being treated has been removed.

That's almost getting into 1984 territory, where unless you've kept a copy yourself to prove that you're not going mad, the current version of the truth is the only version that ever existed....

Good spotting I never got chance to see early version. But I believe you, I’ve seen stuff and the herald doing that before too. Rarely do they ever print an honest note of we made an error earlier.

A real red flag is when a MAJOR incident has just “ occurred “ and there’s is no mention of WHAT TIME that X did Y atvlocation Z....., it’s like they just guess the news instead of actual reporting....

Back to topic, why are crybabies at Council trying to involve Police in a civil matter of planning bylaw breaches? Police are not running orvmanaging an event, they are not landlords or leasees....
