Lying is something you also have a great aversion to (see all your posts about Trump Lies).

You'll note, I didn't say anything about the Media lying, I criticized you for believing it.

Think of it like a Trial - both lawyers will embellish and deceive - and it's the Jury who sorts the wheat from the chaff. I don't begrudge the Lawyer for concocting the most convincing argument, even if it's not really based in the truth.

The point was though - The bill was not by Ron nor was it about Criticism.

However, if it makes you happy, despite having a lot of sympathy with both sides of the argument (and especially that Influencers/bloggers should be considered as Lobbyists if they are receiving funds) - I'm leaning ever-so-slightly to the chilling of Free Speech argument.

I don't disagree he's a strong contender and that all the signs point towards a likely run. I'm just saying we are counting chickens when all we have are eggs.

There's some areas where I think Ron could beat Trump in a Debate - the question is how much collateral damage would Ron take from engaging in that Debate. In the 2016 Primary, when Trump was laughed at as an outsider - he absolutely demolished all his opponents in the Debates.

A podcast I was listening to, a former Republican operative, was saying all Trump has to do in a debate is stand next to DeSantis who is apparently vertically challenged.

I particularly liked the TV ad DeSantis put out featuring himself as a fighter pilot. He was a junior lawyer in the navy. His record shows that at one point his job was assistant coordinator of collecting urine for drug analysis. Not quite a fighter pilot.

I liked that Advert - however, considering the tag-line was 'Top Guv' (perhaps a topical reference to a popular and beloved set of movies...) No one except those maliciously desperate to misrepresent and smear him would think that he is sincerely portraying himself as being a Fighter Pilot.
