Only real issue is that the amount of power output is always going to be less than the input. In this case 100-150w power max, induced by having a flame with an output of greater than 150w.

Interesting, wonder if it’s been tried in larger scale, thinking of large temp differences in say desert between day and night. Something as simple as leaves moving in breeze being the switch deflecting suns energy from either side.

i often wondered why high altitude mountaineers didn't carry a small motor with a propeller that could be staked in the snow outside using wind to generate some power to warm water, even just to keep it as water.
The energy and time to make a drink at some altitudes every little bit helps and gas or fuel has to be carried,

In 200 years time when attitudes will have changed you’ll prob buy a small pea size pellet of uranium 238 at Mega 10 and pop it into what ever home or mobile heating appliance you own.
Speaking of heating water it takes a lot of juice to do that in any quick fashion. During cyclone flooding here little 2kw portable generators were the rage. However plugging the kettle in without everything else dying wasn’t an option…
