Aside from Mumps, Measles, Chickenpox, colds and the flu, kids were way healthier before we embarked on mass vaccination programs. Arguably Polio is the only success story for vaccines and its development also had considerable negative impacts.

Wow, that's an impressive conclusion based on an very limited data set. For the unlucky few, measles was serious. ADD/ADHD was not a recognized condition back then, but I have a relative who certainly was and friends who were not diagnosed until recently..

The measles death rate is directly related to the number of cases of measles, So that its the rate of death per head of population not a figure that says x people got measles and only x percentage died.
