hi chancyy just reading about your stuffed back[bugger bout that]and crusiers.
This is just my experince but i have a bad back also and i sold a crusier not long ago for financual reasons but have just bought a sports bike[cheepy].
I used to find the crusier on a long trip made my back ach but the fz dosent.
I reason that the riding position on the crusier[upright with feet forward]puts all the upper body weight straight down on the spine wereas on a sports /tourer with lean forward angle some of the weight is on the arms especially if the bike has a farring.
As a young fella [yyyyyyeeeeeeeaarrrs ago]when my back was out i would go for a long ride on my trail bike and this would fix it [most times]
I told my chiropractioner obout this ant he said the position on the bike and wind resistance hitting my body was lifting my upper body up taking weight off my back.
I sold the trailee and bought a gsx400 impulse nacked sports and the wind hitting me on that had the same effect as well as taking the weight off my arms.
something to think about anyway
