I think you might be tarring us all with the same brush. I've never assumed anything like that and I must say that alot of the women I know that ride also ride a bigger capacity bike than the CBR600RR that I had...

Not at all, I'm talking about guys who don't ride - guys who do rarely make that assumption

Just say: "It does 0->100 in less than 3.5 seconds. It does about 250km/h. No, you can't have a ride because you thought I had a scooter, and there is no chance of sex at all."

That's pretty much all he needs to know.

Being a biker at heart I don't think along those lines. After my accident ACC brought me a car which would appear to fit into the boy racer scene. After a relatively short period amongst that croud I kinda know what you mean. Most of them are a bunch of pompass self opinionated gits. Even though I have to wait for my trike and can no longer ride on two wheels, I'd rather hang out with a bunch of bikers. Besides, I cannot even understand these boy/girl ricers, seems that they have developed some new shorthand pigeon Engrish, guess there ain't too many braincells driving them eh?

Yeah those assumtions can get annoying but on the other side hand I'm still getting a kick out of the looks on peoples faces when I take the helmet off and then the quick cover up, 'no I wasn't looking' look

Little kids are the coolest I love the way they haven't learn to hide the astonishment (and admiration?) yet

Wave to them, they love it. It's more fun when their parents hate it.

They don't like the idea that a woman is better at what is a traditionally male metier. So to save their ego they assume that you ride a (more effeminent) scooter.

A man with nothing to prove, and/or no ego to protect would ask what you ride!

    But you knew that ^^,
