    Which motorcycle cover?

    What do you have, recommend?
I would like one that has a soft internal lining.
Oxford or RJays are the only ones I have seen.

the boss sewed together old beach towels for a cover for our bike, obviously ok for indoor use only.

Ok got an Rjays one, water proof with a liner, the only isue I found was that the liner left little bits a fur on the bike, not a biggy but just made it look dirty. Got it on sale from motormail.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

The RJays is the best of the two mentioned. But they're not perfect my any means. On my To Do list is to design and prototype The World's Best Weatherproof Cover.

Chez Hitcher has no gargre. Our bikes, when not being ridden, live outdoors under covers. We wear out about two RJays each a year.

    Their imperfections?

    1. They're made by morons in Kazakhstan.
    2. The stitching is crap. The waist ties regularly separate from where they're stitched to the cover. Mrs H's latest cover's ties came off on day one.
    3. The clips on the waist strap are underspecced, fragile and really difficult to use.
    4. The stretchy ties at the ends always come undone and the plastic hooks usually snag on some part of the bike when the cover is being applied or removed.
    5. The cover itself is not UV resistant. It also wears quickly where it rubs on the bike and removes paint and other finishes from the bike where it rubs. We fit undergarments to our bikes to mitigate the bike damage, but the covers themselves still wear.

Apart from this, the RJays covers are still vastly better than any other commercial weather cover I've seen. And they don't melt against hot exhausts.

I recommend the RJays... I use one, and have no iusses with it...

just make sure you get the right size, and if you have a pack rack or not get one to suit..

I got one from Repco about 9 years ago. It's just nylon and only gets used in the garage to keep dust and stuff off the bike, it's been perfect for its intended use. I create a fair bit of wood dust in the garage at times.

Cheers guys, sounds like the Rjays is the go. I currently have a nylon only one and think it leaves fine scratches.

I was considering making one of these, but ended up buying a 2nd hand tool shed and putting a door in the end

Depending on the size of your bike i've got a oxford cover you can have at the cost of postage or delivery to wherever if you want it. It fit my ZZR250 quite happily.
