I did meet some bikers tho ... something about wearing a yellow bike jacket in a bar makes them come up and say hi ... damn those south islanders are friendly.

    LOL

So how is CC at the moment? Did ya spit out of the Church tower? Ride on the tram? Wander the local Hogwarts school? Check out the museum? Drool at the local bike dealers? Hmmm... I recall spending a lot of time in the local wargaming/comic shop there!

Try 6 days of solid work with a couple of drunkin evenings ... LOL ... no time to even find one of the local dealers of two wheeled machines much less drool over said pieces of exquisite machinery.

No worries, Maverick's next ride is down south ... and I will be organising another ride similar to his after that (unless he does it first again!)

There will always be more opportunities for newbie friendly rides 'cause Maverick/McJim/others and I will always be doing them (we enjoy pootling along and don't have that "need for speed")

And hey, when you do feel confident, you know you'll be ready for them!

Why? You want to go on a Saturday ride as well? I think we'll all be borrowing Maverick's weather-genie (TM) when we want to head out!

Hahah your Scorpio will be fine, my bike's lighter than yours and it still feels rock solid at 140kph. In actual fact, the faster you go, the more `locked in' a bike seems to get, due to gyroscopic stuff and the wind head-on perhaps, I don't know.

These rides are very laid back -- you can ride as slow as you like, the hardcore sportsbikers welcome the opportunity to rest their numb arses and wrists while they wait for the slower riders to catch up haha. In fact, the roads are nice and twisty, so even the experienced riders will be doing less than 80kph a lot of the time.

If you do come along, you won't be much slower than me anyway, so there'll be somebody to keep you company -- I'm Tom, the ultra-Nana

Well you sprotsbikers on them thar CBR'RRRRRRs are more than welcome to "hoon" on up ahead! I'll be nana-ing with Xerxes and the rest. My little ol'Hornet just loves the pootlin' speeds!

By the time we catch up, you'd have rested all your sprotsbiker bits and we can toodle off again! Heheh...

Sounds good, but 1 problem: If I was at the front of the pack I'd get lost as I don't know the roads too well

    I'm sure Raj (R6forlife) won't mind hooning a bit with me .
