dude, that valve head has been beaten to buggery against the cylinder head! Thats some screwed up shit! I am now going to take the head off any bike I have an accident on, over-rev's can cause damage that you can't see, and when something like a valve head breaks off that is what happens to the head!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.
It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
I cant figure out how something like that could of happened. REALLY high revs and a cambelt / chain failure and the piston meeting the valve when it was fully open? Could of snapped it but that are pretty hard! Usually leave dents in the piston and a dented valve. But say if it snapped it, then the next time the piston came up it must of just pushed the hell of it and fitted it into the hole and securely mashed it up against the valve seat. AWESOME i thought!
Nothing an angle grinder and some steel wool can't fix!

That'll buff out with a little polish.
I did similar to my bucket but the valve broke up and ended up in the exhaust and crankcase (along with the top of the piston). Just over rev and worn parts...
It's really common for the valve to snap, rather than punch a hole in the piston. It happens because they do not open straight inwards, so when the piston collects it on the angle they jam up.
Less likely to be over revved, and more likely a timing issue, slipped a tooth on the cam belt, or snapped the belt. The latter seems more likely in this case given that the other valves are sweet, and the motor obviously kept turning over.
I have seen it come with being over reved, and the clips that hold the vavle spring in place come out when the valves bounce, but it requires a shit load of bounce.
looks a bit like ur bike lol
