Cheers Mav, Jimmy, Justin, Gremlin, and all the others who helped lead/tail the ride and those who helped the learners... I saw some good riding all around today... v surprised that a few people kept up at all... pity about the bins... I personally only heard about them. It would be a good idea for those who did drop their bikes to post up what happened, and how they reacted, for the benefit of other riders, new and experienced alike. Always helps. Again good riding. Pity about my busted left fork. Nice smooth lines gremlin and the dude on the gixxer, lame wheelie attempts though rofl.

My friends I had a blast ,except for me ,Lucky Legs and Hong standing in the rain waiting for no-one apparently ( at least we got to have a nosh before the hooligans turned up at Kaiaua ,haha). As for being TEC ,was`nt as bad as I thought it would be ,The 250 guys were awesome all of them ,they really wanted to learn and they were taking corners alot better by the end of the ride ( dudes forgotten your names please pm me to remind me). Thanks all ( except for that shifty bugger from Toeranga (trouble ,nothing but trouble )Big Thanks Again guys

Fantastic pics Tide, sounds like you guys had a great time today. Pity we could not join you. A firm, unavoidable and enjoyable 50th birthday party made it impossible!

Must say though am shocked to see a KB mentor, riding no helmet, no gloves and grinning for the camera's pleasure. I always thought that mentors were supposed to advise and guide people. Not entirely certain that this shows good mentoring skills! Specially on a 250 themed ride aimed at the new riders among us. Good on you Crashe (NOT)

Thanks Guys. Great ride, we got 4 seasons of weather in one day, but it was all good. Sympathies to the guys who binned it, i was taking extreme care not to do the same myself. Looking forward to the next ride.
    Cheers Ian

Groovy - well, as this topic has been moved to its own thread now in General, can we move discussing it to there and get back to the breakdown of today's ride?

As usual - another fantastic 250 ride, thanks to Mav et al.

I thought we all did very well - both new and experience riders. To those who binned at that corner; it could have happened to anyone, it was bone dry before the corner and yet wet and slippery as hell just into the bend, not to mention it was slightly off camber.

Amazing the number of new faces (which is good), and nice meeting old faces too (well almost everyone).

thanks for the pics Tide and Cabacca.

    cheers

Hey JTZZR... Wasnt gonna do it, but hey here I am... (posting)

More generally, Great ride today and awesome to meet more KBers. Seems everywhere I go though, confusion and "lostness" seems to follow. Oh well enjoyed the ride even if it was just with the three of us on the way down.

Thanks to the organisers and hope those who binned are OK.
