Oh, Coro loop is around 350kms from Papakura Autobhan and back again.
Some of the best motorcycling roads in the country though this time of the year is not always the best time to make the most of them unfortunately as there's damp bits and green bits but more than made up for with heaps of loverly twisties, open sweepers, short straights, pretty bits and nice burgers topped up by a few very boring straights that need to be crossed to get there. Bout sums it up I think??

Oh, don't buy gas in Coromandel as it's .18c a litre dearer than anywhere else.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

What a sensible and uplifting post B!.....

    Well said B,
I am pulling out to go fly fishing on the Tongariro for the weekend so all have a great ride and play safe.
    Cheers

Went to whangamata a couple of weekends ago and the roads were fine just got watch out for the shade bits and close to the cliff face where the drainage are good and its running across the road (only one spot on the way to waihi)

Yes due to time of the year the roads are not going to be "ideal" however the roads ridden on Mav's ride yesterday are more enclosed therefore giving less visibility plus in some parts the road conditions were far worse than what I've seen the Coro to be in recently.
Also as ZRXer has mentioned this particular ride will NOT be a balls out yee ha.
I'd believe that if you're comfitable riding around the 100kmph mark then you'll have a blast and learn a heap from some more experienced riders.

    what he said....
how ever i would like to add: just ride to your abillity, find out where they are going to stop and catch up with them there. dont try and keep up with the big bikes, most of the guys with them are very experanced with riding the coro loop. its there play ground.
