Never let your enemy see your emotions, for it is the one weapon they will value most.
Check with WINZ. I believe they have a grant of up to $1700 for funeral expenses available.
My mother passed away on monday night after a two year battle with cancer and this was the information given to my Father by the funeral director.

more than happy to place funds in bank for mack.
When the chips are down you need all the help you can get. I have been in such situations and had people help me out more than I could ever repay.
I have only met Mack once but he and Big Dog taught me more about riding than anyone ever has. The fact that they (as well as others) put a significant amount of time, regularly, into helping out complete strangers is pretty special in my book... and a damn nice bloke with it.
Wish it was more but it all counts.
Thats the smell of desire my lady..

I havn't known Mack that long, or know too much about him, but he's an awesome guy, it's sad for this to happen to him

Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
I cannot believe the wonderful folk on KB, I am a deeply humbled man. I have never tried to make out I am anything special and I truly enjoy helping others, it makes me feel useful. Steve was the same.
He was well known in Medieval fighting arts groups around the country, he and I were founding members of the first group in NZ to teach the western fighting styles, and many (perhaps most) of those that followed benefited from his experience and knowledge. He was known as a tremendously skilled fighter, and a patient trainer who always managed to have time for anyone who asked for it.
He was also one of the best riders I have ever known, and had a reputation in the early years as a bit of a hell-raiser. One of the stories I heard yesterday from a friend I haven't seen for a while was about a 'class' he gave on how to avoid capture by the police in the central city while riding.
The greatest sadness for me is not having his knowledge and wisdom around to call on anymore, he was a wonderful source of info on most things and could always be counted on to make you smile.
I don't know what to say but thank you, all of you, for the generosity you have shown for his family, I will ensure they never forget their amazing Dad.

I don't know you at all Mack but with so many speaking so highly of you, you must of earned it. I guess all we can hope for is that our contributions help give you and your family as much space and time to do what you need to do in this trying time.
Look forward to meeting you at a rally sometime

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
I dont know if i am to late for this but a contribution made.. Mack is a very dear friend and it saddens me greatly that another friend has to go through such heartache!!!
Thanks MDU for doing this for him, i know it is hard to ask for help sometimes.
Love Cibby.. xxx

Thanks all... I'm the mouthpiece - you guys all know that (yeah yeah - just try to shut me up LMAO!).
Had a beer with Mack last night... f'n top bloke... I always knew it of course but a reminder never hurts. I gotta admit though... it hurts seeing a friend with tears in their eyes... keep it up guys... every little bit helps - you may be surprised.
And a huge thanks to all... anyone helping a friend of mine gets my gratitude.
Nigel
Edit - anyone else here see the family resemblance????
Onya Mack - we're here for you and yours. That I promise.

It may hurt to se Mack shead a tear Nige but for me it is also an honour when a friend shares that emotion too.
I helped a mate years ago in the UK, he stayed with me for free whilst he got his shut together, anyway his exgirlfriend had called him saying she had taken an overdose and he just curled up in the corner and cried......
That will always stick in my memory and it is something we share.
An FYI... this is typical of the offers we're getting... a PM from yesterday...
Let me put things in perspective... (MackTheKnife's brother) Steve's family is getting $10 here, $20 there, and $5 over there. Some stellar contributions have been made too but here's the rub - it all adds up. All of it.Originally Posted by InsertKBNameHere
Thanks all - and please keep it up.

Good on ya everyone.... Online groups like KB have replaced a lot of the local 'club' scene and it's no bad thing. In my humble opinion, and it's JUST an opinion, a proper motorcyclist should always....
Try and help a brother in tough times... It might be you next!
Make sure everyone gets home on a group ride... Again - next time it might be your turn!
In bad conditions - make sure everyone is OK (don't piss off into the distance 'cos your gear is keeping YOU dry that day)..
Try NOT to be a liability to the group every time (maintain yer bike and yer gear)
Never met you but it seems Mack meets all the above - I consider myself a motorcylist and thus I'm glad to help, sorry it's not more..... Come on folks - bikers have always been generous souls... earn ya karma point here!
