Thumbs up ZXR250C parts for sale (or soon to be for sale)

    Hey All

I have my wrecked ZXR back, and am looking to sell the undamaged parts.

The ZXR is fine from the tank back, and until I can check it out fully (hopefully this weekend when I pick it up) some of the front end parts may be for sale too...

If anyone needs any ZXR bits either reply in here or send me a PM and I'll check out the prices etc and try to give a reasonable price (aiming to be slighty cheaper then wreckers).

    Anywho...

    Let me know...

Nah, I'm actually worse than you are for trying to get everything perfect. In fact, beyond perfect! The ever-expanding collection of ZXR bits is outgrowing my capacity to store it all, but I'm still not satisfied with the bike. I KNOW you can relate to this - I've seen your SV! We probably both need therapy...

Crap mate, was a fair while back now that you were getting parts from me! Still going eh?
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Embarrassing as it is, me and NAaFI will soon have the largest accumulation of buggered ZXRs on the South Island - not that collecting wrecks was part of the original plan. I don't have enough spare time to finish her bike, while gathering wreckage takes very little effort. To compound the lack of progress, NAaFI is now a full-time student, and has even less time to work on her bike than I do. I can somehow see myself getting the shits with the whole thing and simply buying a new bike for her to get her license on, and then figure out how to dispose of a 40-foot container full of parts.

What sort of help would speed things up?

A few less projects on the go all at once would be a start. I'm not only burning the candle on both ends, but trying to ignite it in a few places down the middle too. It's my own fault. I'm too easily distracted and I never know when to say NO to people in need.

I hear ya... I'm knee deep in nasty chemicals at the moment, and trying to sort out a production muffler. In about a month I'll have a bit more free time though, quite happy to start making some headway on the ZXR.

How far along are you? Do you have a rolling chassis? A motor that goes (or at least should)? Even if we sort out a rolling chassis (rebuild the brakes, replace any dodgy bearings) and sort out what body work needs repairing, that'll be a large chunk done

/edit: I happen to have access cheap to things like brake hoses, cables, fuel lines, bearings etc

Cheers, that's a very generous offer!

The bike is essentially seventy thousand individual parts at this stage. Since Christy is now studying full-time, her bike is way down both of our priority lists. She drives or buses to lectures so there's no rush, and I'm far more inclined to focus on projects that MAKE me money, rather than COST me money at the moment.

Far more importantly, the vapour blaster I've designed is coming together very nicely. The second pump and separater tanks arrive next week, and I hope to have it operational in another fortnight or so. It's going to perform significantly better than any of my previous ones, and it'll take a fraction of the time it did to get the alloy bits looking better than they did when brand new. Watch this space...

Yeah, hold that thought. The vapour blasting process is far kinder to the substrate metal. Do you and Fraser still have your signmaking gear?
