It's some exotic, pagan ritual where Master Colapop has a whole lot of fun...and the victims walk away adorned and bedazzled!!

KB is awesome...Some of us up here are cooking up a storm as well...Aucklanders, please check thread "cooks required urgently" if you'd like to help...Cheers

We are EXACTLY 1/2 way there (to the very cent!...

Time for the fund raising to go the next level. I know there are some rides etc going on today, but we can't stop here.

HAIR FOR SALE - $2,500 more gets it... COME AND GET IT

Or more precisely... you guys need to know
    • There is a good woman with 2 children in need.
    • 1 child is 7 months old, the other is 2 years 10 months
    • She has no income/job (other than being a full time Mum to two kids).
    • She is facing a bureaucratic nightmare to get anything out of the State by way of a benefit
    • She may be facing 3 or more weeks without income, at a time of duress, and with two children also stressed...
$5,000 buys my bald head, but in real terms it makes a difference... a big difference.

C'mon guys... pass on the love. It's out there - I know it. Help me find a home for it.

Mate she has no income but fulltime mum is one hell of a job,she deserves a medal.

As an aside,if she goes to winz, maybe put the funds raised into another bank account so it doesn't show up in her account, that way when she needs finances for groceries, mortgage she can access it,even if it means someone else has control of funds. That way when winz check bank accounts it won't be visible to them,if she was to have say $2500 in bank the bastards might say you can have the benefit when your less financial, come on people all donations accepted.

http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=55176 has more information about our little whundraiser ride.
Due to the poor weather there was "limited attendance" which is a shame because it meant there are very few people on the ride, ergo few in the draw.
After an informal vote / poll it was decided to extend the deadline for the draw.
Should you wish to enter the draw for the trackday you have until Sunday 19/08/07 at 18:00 to get me your envelope.

On the plus side there were some brave souls who turned out in spite of foul weather and had a grand time.
    The count?
    4 x 250's
    2 x pillions
    2 x 251+cc bikes
    1 x sweep car
    0 x accidents
0 x tickets (3 patrol cars and 2 speed camera vans)
    0 x quitters

GO THE 250's, some dedicated bikers and some generous souls in this group.

Status report from me - exactly $2,500 in the bank, food delivered to Marie yesterday and I understand there is a lot more sitting in pots, pans and freezers out there in KB land.

Yayee, glad it's at least 1/2way there. If foods required a PM just has to be flicked our way. Will put a bit more in the acct later this week after payday.

Nice to see KB folk rallying support when it's needed

I recently sent MTK the Australian Transport Safety Board motorcycle safety dvd.

I was impressed with all his efforts up there in Auckland in mentoring new riders and did not hesitate to send him the dvd.

The disc came back in good time with a kind note included.

I am sure every little bit helps in times like these. Through this community I am glad I can assist.

    Separate PM sent with details.
