Shit a brick Jack? Count me (if possible) @ THAT price
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Yes that sounds about right I think they must be getting a bit confused!!!

If so, we could get 5 units as a bulk order.

Now how many people are interested?

I know from bringing in Rock-Climbing and outdoors gear that safety equipment is import tax exempt, maybe ask them to label the box "Safety Gear"? I did a guesstimate and am in for a landed price of under $100nz$. Thanks for the work your doing on this Disco.

Just had a quick look, Burglar alarms attract a 7% duty (that's on top of the 12.5% GST), but Motorcycle parts are duty free (just the 12.5% GST), so as long as they were listed as motorcycle parts you'd probably get away with the extra 7%.

As someone has mentioned, as long as the GST amount to collect is under $50 they won't collect it (so say as long as the total cost is under NZ$500 it won't be an issue anyway).

Sorry guys I think I'm gonna have to back out for now, though I'll look at getting one later on. (Hoping I've landed a new flat with space in the garage for my bike which is all good but means I'll have moving costs to cover )

I've imported quite a bit of stuff over the past few years - MC parts, airsoft guns, all sorts of stuff. Providing the parts are labled in appropriate (non duty-taxed) categories there won't be any problems.

Crutial point: Always keep the 'declared' value under $500. If the true value exceeds, just ask the supplier to declare the value of each unit slightly less. Sorted!

BTW put me down as definitely! I'm hoping someone can help me install - or give me some good instructions anyway. I'm fairly handy with a spanner
