so sat leaving shannon & heading long way to manfield .. so who is in .. do we need to set up a seperate thread ??

No probs yod weather is supose to be crap in morning anyhow .. so afternoon fits in well .. can send me text & I can call the vagrants to let them know .. then they heading to martinborough on sunday .. hmmm back roads to masterton calling again ?????

Wow this thread has been busy tonight Lot's of fun things happening by the sounds of it - video sites, new bike (Well done English ), Naki, sprints and cake - yum

I'm just back from a work do and thought I'd post some pics. Great day and I wish I'd had a bike cam as I meandered through some great back roads. The Mountain looked bloody amazing

Hi guys a quick idea for a ride,I know it's been said go to whangamomona,but saw in a local tourist paper they do bed,brekky and tea for $95.00 each,curiosity got better of me so I phoned them and sure enough it's true,was told 3 course tea and cooked brekky,asked about storage for bikes and no probs,have twin,and dble rooms,a few saturdays are booked but even labour weekend is open,just need to check prior,thought you all may be interested.enjoy your ride this weekend,cheers tony.

I think it's whangamomonahotel.co.nz,if not try the information websites,left the paper at work,have one on the Wanganui river for jet boats and canoes,not very helpfull lol.The site gives other activities in area as well,mostly off road trips,horse treks,tramping.Used to do bit of tramping and attempting hunting in similar area around the main walkway to Wanganui river.Some good semi sealed roads albeit narrow to ride,steep bloody country,info centre has a couple of day trips from Stratford to various places of interest with the heritage type places.
