Ummm are you high? This thread died a year ago?
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

So might aswell put World wide next to them in your original post Lias, though admitedly the ones here are nothing more than a shadow of the true members from the founding country.
any gang here in NZ would last 20 minutes in my old neighborhood..

My younger brother used to hang around with a gang called Highway 61 (I think it was 61). He did all sorts of dodgey stuff, which he seemed to enjoy a lot. Him and his mates were pretty wild looking and lived well on the fringe of society, some of them were OK. He eventually got to spend half a lifetime in jail which was a shame really as he was the smart one at school. He got pissed and fell off his bike which ended his riding days and is now spending his time up north in a zimmer frame.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

You got your clubs mixed up, not the angels on t.v. but the GRIM REAPERS. M.C. AUCKLAND At that time the reapers made headlines as N.Z. MOST FEARED M.C. I know as i was there.

No, they are the 1%(pissant) who have excluded themselves from being part of this nation by being sheep and following the lead of all previous 1% of idiots who try to make themselves feel special by being violent, dangerous assholes to the other 99% of the nation.

Why they feel this need, I don't know.

    Cool Old but interesting thread.

Enjoyed reading it. Can of top of my head think of a handful of NZ bikie gangs/clubs that are not mentioned in the beginning.

When I was trawling the net (as you do) I came across a NZ/OZ web page that I first thought was this one that has a very negative look at the patched biker. (Somebody here earlier also had a mentioning re that site...) I came to the conclusion that the site was a propaganda site against patched clubs as anything from warts to the tsunami was the patched members fault according to that site. And it was all backed up with "factual" info from the police...

The reality is that azzholes will be azzholes even if they do not have a patch. In many cases you find that they are less of a hassle as they are a gang member as that gives them people of same sort to hang out with and so is out of general publics view. Also in many cases there are strict rules re what they can and not do as a result of stong leadership. Then that you and I do not always agree with those rules is a different issue.

Personally I prefer sitting down having a beer or two with a bunch of the patched type of bikers then a bunch of "know it all" sunday riders with all the logo gear.

Everyone has an opinion, but are you just blurting out what the newsmedia has fed you or is it your own based on knowledge?

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I'm curious. While I was working security for Dame Te Ata's tangi I saw the usual variety of patched members turn up, but also saw a bunch of patches I've never seen or heard of before. Got me thinking, what gang's/MC's are out there that you know of?

    Remixed with what I know

    Mongrel Mob (Nationwide)
Black Power // Mangu Kaha // Tumana (Nationwide)
    Outcast MC (Papamoa)
    Hells Angels (Nationwide)
    Highway 61 (Nationwide)
    Headhunters (Nationwide)
    Tribesmen MC (Nationwide)
    Filthy Few (Tauranga)
    King Cobra (Auckland)
    Diamond Dogs (Napier/Hastings)
    Iron Thunder (Auckland)
    Nomads (Nationwide)

For a fair idea on how I ride, have a look at my photo albums @ http://tmc-siner.bebo.com and leave a comment if you wanna.
