    Yeah,

i talked to few mechanics tho,

They said a CR250 engine or similar revs very high which you want for speeding down back straight,

Now Im still stuck in the middle here I dont know at the momment to go

250 motox if can find one
    A RG150 engine ported etc
    or A 4 stroke single I might have sussed a TT350 yamaha

If you going to hot up the motor might as well start with a big one, nothing beats cc's

Well you could always compeer apples to apples.
If you had a KLX300 and a KLX400/DRZ400. the 400cc would make more power, but at lower rev's with less stress on the motor.

In a straight line, it would have to be down to traction, gearing, rider skill and bike power/weight ratio, to get the most out of the bike.

In a drag race, my 125 will out accelerate, my fathers KLX300R to top speed. because it has all of the above if only it had a 6th gear

    klx300 makes 33 hp...klx400/drz400 makes 34hp...the 400 weights a ton more! not a very good comparison...but I do know what you mean...

I just think for what he's planing a big engine is a waste of fricken time unless he gets a big two stroke...or a high tech 400-450...the old style thumper engines just rev far to slow..there reciprocating internal mass is far to high and with the little 250 mxer engine...its just two fragile for constant high reving...just not strong enough and serviceablitly ain't great either!...and yet...he still doesn't listen...meh!!
