Thanks Sarge for everything .. shoulder is definately on the sore side today .. hence a day off work to ease out the stiffness .. + a few other bits that are sore that I didn't realise hurt ..

but all good be back out again next weekend .. just another learning curve huh

Shins fine, thanks for the concern Sarge. Shit happens as they say. Good thing I was wearing sturdy kevlar lined, steel capped combat boots too . Goodness knows what my foot, would have been like if I was wearing poncy nancy riding boots . Was numb all the way home untill early this morning though.

Mind you one doesn't normally intend to ride into a fence if one can help it.

An even larger bit of pipe and large cresent, was brought into play today to straighten, or was that unstaighten, the brake lever. Commuted to/from work today no worries at all.
Just need to sort the header and side cover, along with a few minor niggles. No rush.
Adds to the character of the bike.

It's good to know both you guys are OK. There's a saying 'if you think safety's expensive, try having an accident'. And I don't say that in a financial sense, if you know what I mean

Absolutely! I would've hated to have come around that corner and found worse - one of my worst nightmares. Take it easy and hope to see you out and about another day.

Good to see you both are relatively unscathed ( fancy term for okay)

Pea gravel has been my downfall also in the past and still scares the hell out of me.

As for speed, i think the important thing is to ride at your own comfort level, age has taught me (most of the time ), to ride at the speed i want to and not at rates in excess of my ability.

The Blackbird is capable of extreme speeds, but I enjoy myself more at more legal speeds, as long as there are plenty of corners.( Shit, just realised I may have bought the wrong bike).

Absolutely! The only good thing about accidents is that we all learn from them.
