Didn't see you. I probably passed you so quickly, you'd of just been a blur...

To be honest I spent most of the day with the family riding on the kids track and the novice trail keeping them company, a bung elbow isn't helping either.

The 250 is great. Big step up though, how'd you find it?

Sorry guys didn't make it to the Woodhill ride.
We where up to late the night before to get my young boy up too early. And I need him as an excuse to go MXing twice a week as I've been taking an afternoon off last few Wednesdays and going out to Ardmore for a ride. Well he got up at 11 or so and as the bikes where ready we Shot off to KIMI's. The MX track was very good. Didn't do the trails as we got there to late but the guys coming back where very muddy.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Come on, don't be so coy. You're buying a new bike which means it has to be discussed in full. Is your preference 2T or 4T?

    WR250F - Nice Bike, Maybe

CRF250X - Ridden the R, and liked it, but X is a bit restricted in terms of power

KDX200 - Have owned them before, and are reliable as hell.

EC2000 - no bottom end power, all in the mid to top, wouldnt suit my riding style.

    EC250 - fucken hell yea!

I wouldn't worry about perceived lack of power. There are very few who can actually ring out a modern 250 four stroke to its maximum in the forest and most of those are riding at the top end of the enduro scene. Sean Clarke is a big lad and look what he can do on a 250 4T!!

If you bought a KDX200, you'd probably enjoy Riverhead more!

Suspension Package is another big thing for me. The KDX forks arent as near as good as say a WR250F or CRF250X. The conventional cartridge fork, isn't as nice as an USD type suspension setup, as USD has more adjustment.

I tweaked my conventional cartridge forks on my CRF, but they still weren't near as nice or adjustable as a set of USD.

There is also the fact that the conventionals have the great big bit hanging off the bottom of them to catch a tree root or get stuck in a rut for you.

Jut buy that gas gas would you. You can't get a much better suspension package than that. And get a job you bum!

ha ha ha true, its the old rule - 95% the rider and 5% the bike. But In my opinion the KDX is ugly and when I rode one it felt boring. It was fitted the the aftermarket pipe and moose bars too. I know that if it ain't broke don't fix it, but they could have put some more development efforts in since 1995!!!!!
