Not that I wish to be associated with raining on a parade but ... WTF?
I mean, there are words in there that I surely can't be expected to understand. "Promulgating" sounds like something a sub-dermal lesion does to spread infection. What's wrong with "TCSMR goes from Rimutex at 10"?
Does this mean that if I go for a ride in the rapa at the weekend I am now part of BuckBuck's bunch? Would I be in a biker gang? Am I part of a posse? Will there be scantily clad women, spinny things on wheels and bling? Can I use the special spelling of the word "Cruisy" to identify myself to other members of the gang? Is there a funny handshake?
Oh, it's all so confusing. I just wanted to go for a ride. I think it might be time for a nice lie down.

Dave I think you may have answered your own questions.
In the spirit of 'ride your own ride', I will post a time and place and route subject to weather conditions, and in the case of this weekend being Fathers Day, the weather forecast for Saturday is not looking good, and importantly with Sunday being Fathers Day, I being a father, will not ride until later in the morning around lunch time, spending the morning with our daughter.
I have promoted numerous rides around Wellington Harbour and Bays, and in particular focused on 250cc riders.
I think you will find that I am a mature gentleman that endeavours to promote rider confidence for upcoming riders, and riders in general.

Ride safe.

All this talk of meeting times and places etc sounds suspiciously like someone has their head screwed on and has actually put some thought into some regular organised rides... of course being rebellious bikers by nature I'd assume that if an individual wanted to ride WITHOUT being part of an organised group they'd probably do so *shudders* Oh the humanity - won't someone think of the children?!?!?
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
This is getting embarrasing
It's simply another ride option people. With the word 'option' being the key.
If you like a well planned ride for the day, this may be it.
If you want to join a more informal ride, the TCSMR may be it.
If you want to ride on your own or with a few mates, go for it.
If you want to chill out, relax and sit around home without riding, go for it.
This is a big city with lots of riders, the more ride options the better I say.

I thought it was the equinox ride this weekend.
I was thinking of a ride to Turangi Cabins overnight Saturday, stopping at Manfield on the way up or back. Last week I did a ride up to Palmerston North and back through the Paihiatua Track and Mangamaire (gotta love that Mangamaire route). Anyways I pulled up a bit lame with a few shoulder spasms. So such a long ride over the weekend for me could be a bit foolish.
I notified NinjaNanna last week and the few from Wellington that may have ridden to Turangi:

Tentatively I may be riding up to Manfield early Sunday morning spend a few hours and take it easy coming back, however my shoulder will need to improve.

The Subway cafe at Caltex Rimutex do a good roll, big enough to fit inside the riding jacket, and with a coffee take out at the top of the Rimutaka Hill, I have found this a good stop for a meal and drink on the way up through the Wairarapa.

I am heading to New Plymouth on Sunday 24th and keen to call into Manfield for a few hours. Please post if you are going, what time and where from and I will join you.
