oh n btw to all riders, it was bloody windy when i went upto check out the route on tuesday and it doesnt look like its going to die down so just make sure that you are comfortable going at highway speeds. The 40kms of windie roads are largely shaded from wind so that part is really nice but the hills leading to wellsford and coming back down through sh1 from wellsford were bloody horrible....

i was getting blown around on my 200+ kg bike so just thought you guys should know....i just slowed down round those parts to 80kph to make my life easier so yea
thanks for the tip nish i guess i'll have to slow down to 60k then on my 160kg heavy weight lol but hey it's all a learning curve!!,Better yet perhaps ill ride along sides your kwaka as a wind sheid!!!

Been little and light I can just imagine been blown from the bike. CBR250 at 160kg's? My CBR is 170kg's. It is amazing the weight difference between a 929 and 250. The 954 is 168kg's while the 1000RR is 176kg's. So much technology been put into making modern day bikes lighter and lighter.

I might come guys, I got a Saturday meeting but it could be canceled... chances are 70%.

If I do come, please be nice to me and my Scorpio! lol Don't leave me behind how Twinkle did! lol jks

Weather looks fine, the wind looks ok... I'll let you guys know if I can come with 100%

P.S. any Single Cylinder this ride? or is it gonna be just me?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Looks like there will be a few rides to Whangarei this Saturday. Hey Bomma so can we confirm the time is now 9.30 at the gym and we depart at 10?(need to make chances if so) As for Squiggles you should meet us at 9 for briefing and that includes you Hanne lol.

um just a quick suggestion but since you are all starting in town have you thought about incorporating some of your time to help out with this charity event for the problem gambling foundation being organised by Mac The Knife. Its a great cause and wont eat to much into your ride time i wouldnt imagine.

The ride you guys are organisings thread is six pages long and i havent read all of it so dont know the full details but thought it would be a good chance to get a few more bikes making noise aroung the sky tower if you all have time spare saturday morning and since you are starting your ride just around the corner why not.
