    Lions Foundation

As many of you are aware, I'm off to Belgium on an AFS exchange next year. I am doing a fair bit of fundraising at the moment through KB and other places, and that will continue.
But in the mean time, I have been thinking of approaching the Lions Foundation. Have any of you done this before, or know of a suitable way to go about it? I really have no idea how much money they will donate to me, but all is appreciated.

All I really know is that if they do donate, all they expect in return is a lengthy talk about my trip and what it has done for me as a person. Well, that is what I've heard.

    Suggestions and/or tips anyone?
    Thanks.

The Lions sponsored my 10 day voyage on the Spirit of Adventure when I was 16, they needed someone to go, I had nothing better to do. So I didn't ask so not too sure how you go about asking. Maybe just give your local chapter a call and ask them the best way to go about it, they're pretty friendly people. Good luck.

My Father in law to be is president of the Seddon Lions club. He is here tomorrow night.

I shall ask for you mate
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I hear they can have sex up to nine times a day.
You'd be gutted if you joined Rotary and heard that, wouldn't ya?

    Rotary exchange...no thanks.
No dating. No drinking. No illegal drugs. No hitch hiking. The last two I do agree with. But the first two?
What better way than to get in touch with a country's culture than to get a girlfriend or boyfriend to help you out and learn things, or get a couple of drinks down you and learn about it that way?
Ok, not saying that I will automatically go and get a girlfriend and get drunk whilst in Belgium, nor will I even look for a girlfriend, but...what's wrong with it?
Just don't let either ruin your exchange.

AFS rules are no hitch hiking, no illegal drugs, and to follow the laws of the country.
So that means no drinking for my 1st 6th months, considering I will only be 17...Nah. Fuck it! Haha
