This type fo shit fight doesnt help anybody. It also makes your average person angry and raises dissention amongst the population. I dont think these actions will have cuased them much positive feeling amongst white nz citizens.

I beleive in one law for all, not differnt rules becuase you happen to be of different ethnicity. This type of thing makes me pretty angry and it fosters fellings of discontnent, and strenghtens stereotypes.

As an average Kiwi bloke and a pakeha this maori law shit pisses me off,i sometimes wonder if the average maori bloke feels the same WTF is wrong with just being New Zealanders and getting on with it.

I've had this happen. Unfortunately both sides are right. Its not about one law or another lore, though thats what people use to justify their "rights" when all else fails. I hate to see bodies treated as property but Maori tend to do this more than us I find - even with living whanau.

It needs to get sorted thru respectful painful communication. Best solution I can see is for the widow to move to Opotiki. She knew she was with a Maori going on his photo - so this may mean a readjustment of ideas, even now.

The immediate family is only what 3 or 4 - they need to think of the ?50 or 60 up North living plus the hundreds dead and buried who were waiting for him to join them - imo.

Using cops and lawyers against her kids blood rellys aint a good look for US PAKEHA imo. Never mind whats being done on other side of fence (out of affection no doubt). Moral of story - if ya don't want a body fight don't go with a Maori. Ignorance can be no excuse after Billy T!
