Well today's weather was deceiving. I decided to take the RSV for a spin around the block (Waihi > Paeroa > Te Aroha > Kaimais) to put a few more km on the new tyres. Get to Waihi and it's bloody rainingI decided I wasn't going to be deterred by rain so plodded on towards the gorge, which was damp and had a 30km speed limit half the way because of road works.
I got to the road between Paeroa and Te Aroha only to hit more rain and couldn't see where the hell I was going. Really should put something on my visor to make the rain run off it... I was a bit confused coming up to one of those single lane bridges because I could see something on it. I was thinking "WTF is it?" only to discover it was a Jersey calf staring straight at me. A quick stop while the farmer rounded it up and then I was back on my merry way.
Overall, it was a pretty sedate little pootle.
