    For sale: Suzuki RG150

Nice starter bike to learn on.
One of the lowest kay'd and best condition RG's around. Always garaged and only taken out to play in fine weather.
Selling as have had a RF900 for 3 years now and just don't use the RG enough to justify keeping it.
Always run Motul Synthetic and premium gas in it - quick for its size (easily sees off any 250 cc 4 stroke).
Headlights upgraded to Halogen units so you can now see more than 3 feet in front of you at night!!!
Power valves have been checked/cleaned recently and all fluids changed every 2 years.
Quality of bike reflected by asking price. This will be advertised on other sites/media so reserve right to remove without warning.
    Cheers

Crickey! I've never seen one so....so....so shiny! Missus has one that's been rolled bowled and arseholed more than a few times - still runs and handles fabulously though with 30,000km on it. Has had chain and sprockets replaced and a top end rebuild too.

I'd be interested to look at it just to see a shiny one!

I know its a shit thing to put in your for sale bit but I'm sure these were 3 grand brand spanking? I may be wrong, correct me if I am.
Also won't see off a 250 4 stroke if its a 4 cyl, but thats not really an issue, they are fast enough to be scary fun!

What makes it worth $3200? Sorry Im nt saying you're ripping anyone off or anything... Its just that I was looking at buying an RG or KR very soon and was not really thinking I would have to pay to much over $15-1700 for a pre 2000. Im thinking I may need to save more $$?

BTW, its a mint looking bike. Good luck with the sale!

Nah - this one looks like an absolute minter. worth buying as a museum piece more than anything else. you can only buy pre 2000 RG150s most in NZ are 1998 - s'when the biggest batch came in.

Most RG150's will set you back between $1,500 and $2,000. They will not look as good as this one though and none will have less than 15,000km on them. I'd like to get the front end of a RG125 from the UK though as it had USD forks.

I bought a 2003 KR150 with 20000 K's on the clock. It was immaculate (until I rode it) and I paid $2000 and that was from a shop with brand new WOF and 6 month rego as well as general 2 stroke maintenance.... So that's why I had just assumed....

Does sound like a high price, but methinks learner legal rides are really atracting a premium price right now? I just agreed on $1500 for one and a half shitters (one is a parts bike)
2SMOKIN!!!!! was a 2000 model rg150, it has a nice looking onepiece seat instead of the one pictured above.

Ah, but someone probably will and they would get a very nice looking bike for it as well. If I had more cash I would seriously consider it...

It has spent most of its life in the garage - hence the sun hasn't had a chance to dull the paint and decals. People find it hard to believe that it is 9 years old.

Its got a Iridium plug in it - totally different bike to ride from factory plug. Now needs next to no choke to start from cold - was a pain in the ass to start with factory plug - probably due to lack of use. Mates have 250 Bandits etc and it leaves them behind especially when over 100 k'ys. I went from motorcross to the road and the powerband in this bike surprised me as thought it would be heavily de tuned for longetivity of the motor - have to be careful in wet as have had a few moments when power band comes in at 6000rpm.

I payed more than the new price for it second hand and asking price is less than I paid. The later model RGV was air cooled, only had reed valves and had drum rear brakes. THis is the last of the speced up 2 strokes that was available as everything now is going 4 stroke due to emissions etc. The RG has reed and power valves and front and read disks. I agree with the coments that all learner spec bikes i.e. less than 250cc do cary premiums on price as thay are a captive market and if you want to keep up with traffic you need at least a 250 4 stroke which carries a $5K plus price which is similar to some 650's that are available etc.

I guess any sale is up for negotiation - however I won't be giving it away. Don't expect to close deal for $1500!!!
