A few years ago when Mrs H and I were still in our 250 stage, we were sitting at a sidewalk cafe table with our bikes parked on the footpath a couple of metres away. This black Mercedes Benz SUV-on-steroids thing pulls up and parks, bristling expense-account aggression. Buffed dad gets out, walks around to the kerbside rear door to release a three-year-old boy from the confines of a booster seat. Son's first reaction on exiting the Merc was to point at our bikes and say in a loud state of excitement "Look daddy, motorbikes!"
As dad walked past us I said "I bet he didn't get that excited when you brought the Merc home..."
