Question Integrated Lights, are they legal here in NZ

Ive got an 06 R6, I love it except the license plate/indicator unit is UGLY, so I'm going to get a Fender elimination kit like this maybe ..http://www.vfxkits.com/c283289p16787994.2.html,
Anyway, during My looking for these I came across these Integrated Tail light indicator units, the brake light is also the indicator like this... http://clearalternatives.com/Merchan...y_Code=YZF600R, are these legal in NZ? does anyone know or has anyone got these on their Bikes?
    Thanks
    Zac

As all have mentioned above they are legal andI was thinking about getting one myself for the SV. That was untill I follwed a few guys amd realised how little the indicators stood out.

Its a personal thing but I would like to be a bit more visable.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

I've got one for my 05 ZX10R and it's extremely effective, more so than the stock stalk indicators if you ask me. It really tidies the rear end up a treat, even more so with a fender eliminator.

Pumba, do you mean the indicators like in the unit below? My partner rides an SV and when i'm following him I find the indicators very easy to see... maybe just a personal opinion thing. (Or maybe because I've always got my eyes on his rear end )

No, I doubt it would meet horizontal beam angle requirements for a WOF.

80 one way and 45 the other IIRC. It's all in the VIR manual, I can dig out the relevant stuff if you can't google for it yourself. Either way, that's where I'd be double checking, I think there's some other stuff you'll need to know about too.

Having said all that....! I have changed the indicators and taillights on my bike when I did the exhaust and race tail conversion. They're pretty basic, and possibly not 100% legal, but generally they're not out to be arseholes.

Do ask yourself though, how much am I willing to compromise my safety? There are plenty of undertray manufacturers using what can only be described as substandard lights... no deflection/reflectors, woefully weak light output, etc etc. Of course, you won't know till it arrives... but then, you can always replace the LEDs with higher lumen output ones

I got the tail light and indicators here.
Tail light was about $85US and the indicators I think $40US + postage.
I got some white LED's for the number plate light like these
and as for getting rid of fender (free) I just unbolted it and it had a couple of brackets inside so I dismantled it and they worked great, makes the plate look like its floating.

Yea those are the ones I was thinking of, to be honest I never saw another SV using one, just other bikes using the simular system. I have always thought that the SV tail lends its self to them very well with the split LED Tail lights (even before I saw the comercial units I was thinking of somthing simular).

Even still im not quite convinced of there effectivness, comuting around auckland enough people want to kill me any way, as you say its probally personal preference thing.

And for the record you are probally are looking too hard at his arse end

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round
