Why do motorcycle manufacturers do this? And particularly Kawasaki after all of its hype on this model, particularly talk of "windtunnel testing". The cynic in me says its so the aftermarket screen makers can turn a coin. I had screen problems on both the ST1300 and the FJR. Givi's FJR replacement screen is way better than stock, but I'm serious contemplating a Rifle.

Congratulations again on the new buy! Purchasing a brand-new bike is something I have yet to have the pleasure of.

I fianaly went and done it, after much procrastination and a couple of test rides i purchased my first ever brand new motor bike and i must say it is bloody awesome
Picked it up after work yesterday and have alredy done 125 kms on it and covered it in filthy road grime last night. Like a dumarse i was so excited i forgot i had my tinted visor on when i left so i ended up riding in the dark with the screen fully up and my visor open and crouched down to keep under the windflow The screens on these bikes are a little short but i am sure there will be a longer one on the market soon Th lights are brilliant and the heated hand grips i had put on are simply wonderful
Traded the meanie in cause i couldnt afford to keep it and have a brand new bike, I struggled handing the keys over though i must confess and when riding it into town i was thinking "what the hell are you doing" I woke up feeling a lot better about my decision this morning especialy when i went out to the shed
Ill post some pics soon and let you know what i think of it So far though its all good and im looking forward to putting heaps of ks on it
Not sure whether to congratulate u or not mate but I guess I will have to as u sound so excited about the new ride. Hope u don't miss the Meanie too much.

Anything weighing less than 289 kg without the fluids would be good wouldn't it? ha ha. I am pretty sure u won't miss the weight!

All the best for the future with your new bike anyway. Ride safe.

Yea i do miss the meanie It is still in the bike shop and i have thought about buying it back but cant afford two bikes and a family Dont get me wrong i love riding the concours but i did like the meanie as well The Concours is a totaly different riding style which i am still getting used to
One thing i dont miss is the sound of the exhaust and pegs scraping round the twisties which was happening a little too often for comfort

Haven't got a peg down yet eh? It can be done - try chasing 86GSXR & NZSarge over Vinegar Hill. Coming south, tight right-hander just after the camping area...
