The tank is 23 litres. When I reached in front my place the reserve light just came up so I reckon the 378km's is on 18 litres of fuel. We were travelling on experience riders speed bro. Haha you know what that means...

Haha was nice to see that the GN250 beat the ZX7R on the bends ... whoops

    hey all,
looks like this threads been going off!! yea it was an awesome ride and we had heaps of fun!! so cheers to isacks..ooops i mean isaac for organising it!!

just to let you all know james DID beat me around the corners on his GN (i swear hes a demon on that thing) if you read one of kims posts a couple of pages back he mentioned bald tyres.....yea that was my rear he was referring to i was going good in the dry (isaac will verify that wont ya bud ) but after the road got wet and the rain started to come down (at which point i was still unaware of the baldness of my tyre) a few skids and slides forced me to take the corners like a grandma!!!

isaac mate you are an awesome rider!! cant believe how hard you were going two up!!! im pretty sure ur pack rack could count as another "mei" so you were THREE-UP!!! and yes the rf is better on the gas than my ninja but only just...we were neck and neck till the last leg :P

we'll hit the ranges to whangamata one day in the dry and i'll give you a run for your money

cheers for james, kim and mei for coming along too and making the trip a whole lot of fun!!! oh and if you guys ever stop over at whangamata then try the smoked fish pie!! ITS AWESOME!!!!

and finally cheers for ej and hong for tagging along with us till kaiaua (even though we did lose hong like 4 minutes out of takapuna)

Alls I remember is you overtook me on the road to Miranda, lead for one corner and then missed the next 55kph corner and went down a side street!!!!! It was the funniest shit I've seen in a long time! The rest of us riders went past you as you were attempting to do a U-turn and get back on the right road again.

But yeah, for the sake of a man's pride, 'Ol Bomma did have a near-slick rear and until it started raining had been riding exceptionally well through the twisties. As mentioned, I overheated my brakes trying to outrun / keep up with him.

I'd love to have a blat with Stevo, Nish and Kim once everyone's bikes are sorted (bloody cheap-ass students with broken bikes) and when I don't have Mei on the back

    Edit:

(And Ewen and James and Andrew, but not Chris, he's mad

^that was a dodgy piece of road man!!! i came flying out of the first corner and there's a road straight ahead which is the first thing you see and a 55kph speed sign pointing left and the actual road veers off to the left....

i gave her a heap of gas coming out of the corner coz i saw the straight bit first and then realised!!! im surprised people didnt follow me in!! i know kim was thinking about it

I remember when we were at the traffic lights on the way out of Mt Maunganui. The gucci beat you two in acceleration when the traffic light turned green. woohoo!! The gucci even did a wheel spin/skid at one of the traffic lights. Yeah hope I got some gravel on your visor Bomma. Wonder did the hot ladies in the car saw me haha.

Well Mei is always welcomed on my bike Isaac. haha Yeah Bomma making the mistake going straight was funny good thing there weren't oncoming traffic. I woke up today and I am feeling my sore arms from riding the gucci. Spent 2 hours cleaning the gucci up and polishing the chrome hard work....nice and clean now
